These beautiful coins are the second release of the Queen’s Virtues series. The series is inspired by the six allegorical figures of Queen Victoria located in a memorial dedicated to her outside Buckingham Palace. The Victoria Memorial was inaugurated in 1901 and holds statues built within the monument representing Victoria’s Virtues. Each of the statues features a female representation of a virtue recognized in Her Majesty Queen Victoria during her reign.
